The Canadian Food Safety Institute (CFSI) welcomes all International Applicants
The Canadian Food Safety Institute welcome Food Science Applicants, Food Professionals, Consultants and Organizations from International countries to our recognized Food Safety Certification Competency Programs. Currently, all On-line program fees are the same as for domestic students. However, Full-time fees for foreign students are higher than those for domestic students. The Canadian Food Safety Institute offer our In-class certification training programs in the Spring, Fall and Winter sessions. Our Online programs are open for registration throghout the year.
To register as an International Online Applicant, click o "Register Here" at the Homepage and follow the instructions.
1. Register for and take the "Food Safety Level 1" Program Introductory Course Online. If you score over 70%, then proceed to Step
2. Apply for, Register and complete payment for the Eight (8) Core Food Safety Certification Program Courses. (You will receive your Fee Schedule after Step 1.)
3. Forward your resume and College or University Transcripts to CFSI Admission Support Team for Assessment and Review
4. If Step 3 clear, You recieve the CFSI Welcome and Admission Letter
5. Start your Online Program on your computer, Write your Final Exam.
6. If you pass your Final Exam at 70% or above, prepare for your 5 weeks Job Placement in a Food Organization
7. Complete your Job Placement at 70% or above and you are ready for your graduation.
(Current CFSI Students are located in Mexico, Philippines and the West Indies)
Examine Date & Locations
TBA. Usually November and January in approved facilities in Canada or in your country. Time:9:00 a.m. – 12:00p.m. (International & Pacific Time)
Location: At employer location, at a church, school, college or university site.
TERMS & CONDITION:
1. All international students must officially nominate in writing and provide the name, title, organization, Phone number, email address, resume or letter from a reliable Exam Supervisor to be reviewed and approved by CFSI with a month or earlier before the date of the exam.
2. The nominate Exam Supervisor must submit a letter of agreement to CFSI with the month or earlier before the exam.
3. After the exam, and completion of all necessary forms, CFSI will pay $50.00 Canadian dollars to all International and long-distance Exam Supervisor and send them a Letter of Appreciation.
4. International & Long-distance students may forward this notice to the nominated Exam Supervisor.
About Online Studies Final Exam
Final Exam is approved for students who have completed all six required and two recommended courses. The format is combination of 100 plus multiple choice and short answers. It's open book. Length of exam is 3 hours (9:00a.m -12:00p.m. OR 1:00p. m. - 4:00p.m.).
Your exam is being scheduled for the Tuesday November 10, 2009 at our office in Mississauga in the Training Room. The final exam is 30% of your online program. You are allowed re-take the final exam two times after the first try. After that, you have to enroll in the Fast-track retaking of the whole program.
First try Final Exam Fee: Now $250.00 plus GST (All students taking final exam must pay this fee in advance to cover facility and instructor expense)
Second Try Final Exam Fee: $450.00 plus GST
Last Try Final Exam Fee: $450.00 plus GST
A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the final exam. You are allowed two re-takes.Fee for retaking the final exam is $450.00 plus GST
